Auction Night Success

Dear Parents & Carers,

What a wonderful time was had by all on Friday at our Auction Night. The cocktails flowed, the food was superb and Piers wielded his hammer with flair! Plus we made over £8,000!!!!

I just wanted to say, an enormous THANK YOU to the Auction Committee, the wonderful team behind making this event happen – Natalie, Melissa, Tracey, Alex, Orpha and Dani. For securing amazing Auction and Raffle prizes. Alison, Jamie and Johanna for your bar skills that nearly rivalled the moustached cocktail men! Loulou & Daz from The Pear Tree pub for the amazing food and staff. And of course, Piers for wielding his hammer!

To all those parents that very kindly donated Auction Lots and to Miss Kelliher and Miss Morris for so kindly donating the beautiful Year of Mercy prints.  Thank you all for your generosity.

And my undying gratitude as always goes to Becky & Emily – my partners in crime! These events really would not be possible without you both. You are AMAZING!!!

A huge thank you to everyone that attended the Auction Evening, brought a raffle ticket, made a silent bid, and bid in the live Auction. You all played a part in helping us achieve this phenomenal amount. THANK YOU!

We have the Sports Day coming up where the PTA will be providing refreshments for the children. Hope you’re all wearing lycra and doing your warming up stretches for the mum and dad race!

A special thank you to the Vodafone Foundation for sponsoring one of its staff to volunteer at the event, once again. We really are grateful for their support and generous donation.

Have a great half term!

Auction Night – Friday 19th May

Can you help? We are trying to raise money for the school playground. Especially a new working space/area for the children. Please put the date in your diary and if you can help out, do e-mail us. We would love to get an Auction Committee together to make this a wonderful event for all.

Bingo Success

What a turn out last Friday for our first ever Bingo Night!! It was a huge success and so lovely to see so many families supporting the school. Thank you to everyone that helped make it such a success and especially our wonderful Bingo caller, Mr Biggs, who obviously has found his calling! Who would have known that 79 was the Brighton line!! And of course, Becky who does so much behind the scenes both before and after all the events we organise, to help make them successful. Look out for the photos on the Reception shed post. As it was our first Bingo Night, any feedback would be welcomed.

Kids School Disco 10 Feb

Dear Parents/Carers,

The PTA will be holding our annual School Disco for the children on Friday 10th February. Below is some information regarding the disco.

Reception & Year 1:

Disco/Party will start at 2pm until 3.10pm. The children will dance and play games in the hall with our redisdent DJ – Norma (only joking!)

The children will recieve a drink, glowstick and bag of crisps. If you would like to make a £1 donation to help cover the cost of the Disco, please sign and return the form below. The children will finish school at normal time and pick up will be the same as the end of any school day. Miss Kelliher is kindly allowing Reception & Year 1 to wear their own clothes on Friday 10th Febuary to the disco as a treat.

Year 2 – Year 6:

The Disco will start at 6.30pm – 8.30pm. The cost of the disco will be £3 a child or £5 maximum for a family with more siblings attending! The cost will cover entry into the disco plus all the children will get a bag of crisps and a drink. We will be running a tuck shop, which will be selling sweets, drinks plus disco glow sticks, glitter tattooes etc. Please make sure the children come with no more than £5 spending money, which they will be responsible for.

Please note NO MOBILE PHONES ARE ALLOWED at the disco. We will ask all children that do bring them to hand them in to PTA helpers and they will then be returned at the end of the disco. Please make sure an adult collects your child at the end of the disco, as no one will be allowed to walk home on their own.

I hope all the kids have started practising their moves and grooves!

School Disco Permission Letter 2017

Thank You

I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone for turning up on a very cold December day and making the Christmas Fair such a success! It was great to see so many people supporting the school and getting into the Christmas Spirit (plus the Mulled wine!). Even Father Christmas managed to pop in and see us! And we raised over £3000 !!!!!

To all the Elves that have worked behind the scenes, shopping, wrapping, selling, buying and preparing in the weeks leading up to the Fair.

To the early team of muscle – that unpacked the PTA shed, put up Gazebos, moved tables and decorated the playground, stalls and especially those that decked the grotto with bales of holly!

To all those Elves that ran stalls wearing thermals(!) and to those brave souls that helped clear up afterwards, even though most of us had lost the will to live and lost feeling in our extremities!!

Thank you all for your generosity and support with our Mufti days and buying raffle tickets. To Miss Kelliher and staff and especially Norma and Miss Morris in the office.

Special thanks though must go to our wonderful Becky who we couldn’t do it without, Natalie our secretary and chocolate tombola extraordinaire, Thierry our Macro King and Treasurer and of course our Emily who really is superwoman and juggles more balls than anyone I know!

It really was a great team effort. And fantastic to have so many Elves helping. Thank you all for the parts you played!

Raffle Winners were:

1st Prize – ipad- Natalia (reception)
2nd Prize – gym membership – Reanne (yr 5)
3rd Prize – Christmas hamper – Gita Josh
4th Prize – Pizza meal for 2 – Agota (yr 2)
Gabriele (Reception) won the prize for selling the most raffle tickets – well done!
I promise not to wave my clipboard around at the school gates anymore this year or ask you for anything!! You are ALL now officially on the GOOD LIST!

Mufti Days (Non Uniform Days)

Below is a list of dates Misss Kelliher has kindly agreed for us to hold Mufti Days on, along with the donations needed:

Friday 11th November – Donations of toys. New or nearly new toys only. Please make sure they are clean, in working order and with all the pieces. It is heart breaking for children to buy toys at the fair, only for them to not work.
Friday 18th November – Pint Pot Challenge pots back in. Each child will come home this week with a Pint Pot. Which we ask you to fill with festive goodies e.g. wrapped sweets, small new toys, money!
Friday 25th November – Donations of Chocolate for our legendary Chocolate Tombola
Friday 2nd November – Donations of Bottles of Alcohol for the Adult Tombola
Saturday 3rd December – Please bring along Homemade cakes between 9am – 11am to Fair.

THANK YOU as always for your support & generosity. I know we seem to ask a lot but everything we raise will go towards improving our children’s school experience and environment.
You are a wonderfully generous lot and the school really does appreciate it!

This is an easy way for you to support the school. This Friday’s donation is for toys. Please make sure they are not broken, dirty or don’t have all the pieces.

PINT POT CHALLENGE: Is back!! The children will be coming home with their Pint Pot this week, we ask everyone to fill them with little goodies e.g. chocolates, hair clips, little toys etc! The more festive the better! Again no unwrapped sweets or used toys please! It’s a great stall for the Christmas fair that you can support really easily.
